Sales Technician Associate - Full Time

The Sales Technician Associate is the repair specialist and brand ambassador in their store for the FixIT repair program. The Technician leverages strong interpersonal skills and technical repair know how to enhance the store's overall customer service experience and drive profitable sales. In addition to diagnosing and repairing out of warranty mobile devices, the Technician drives awareness of the program by visiting local businesses and interacting with customers on the RadioShack sales floor. When not repairing devices or working with potential FixIT customers, the Technician continues strengthening their technical repair knowledge through on-going training and research, and performs general Sales Associate functions, as needed.
RadioShack FixIT Brand Ambassador
Drive repair traffic and store sales through:
Promotion of RadioShack and FixIT Business, both in store and with local businesses and organizations
Building repair referral relationships with local businesses such as carrier stores, restaurants and other retail locations with high volumes of customer traffic
Mobile Repair Technician
Complete repairs on out of warranty devices totaling an average of 3
units per door/per day through:
Accurate diagnosis of device issues and repair estimates
Timely and quality completion of mobile device repairs on approved devices
Sales & Service
Drive customer loyalty and profitable sales through
Complete-solution selling, including add-on repairs (such as battery replacement), and accessory attach items (such as screen protectors and device cases)
Resolving customer service issues
And other duties as assigned.
Education / Certifications
High school diploma and some college preferred
Technical repair certification from an established program a plus
Experience
Previous/current RadioShack Sales Associate or comparable retail experience a plus
Previous mobile device repair experience a plus
General Skills/Abilities
Able to comfortably and confidently conduct mobile device repairs using specialized tools to remove and replace items such as small screws and glass screens
Strong time management
Excellent communication skills
Personal Attributes
Strong interpersonal communication skills and an outgoing personality. Able to strike up conversations and share the FixIT value proposition with local business and customers in the store.
Fast learner who is self-motivated, adapts to change and takes initiative to self-train on technology-related topics
High aptitude and desire to tinker with and fix things. Has likely been fixing devices on own using YouTube videos and parts ordered from the internet
Strong attention to detail
