## Description
Summary:
An Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting Store Management in maximizing sales, providing a great shopping experience for the customer and managing the store in accordance with the company visual and operational standards. The Assistant Manager assumes responsibility for the operations of a store as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership
Assumes Manager's role in supervising staff in absence of the Store Manager
Strives to meet and exceed store goals, ensures selling standards are met
Works with customers and models excellent sales and customer service skills
Maximizes sales through strong floor supervision
Associate Development
Ensures associates are trained on product knowledge, selling skills, customer service and other operations
Provides training information and feedback to Sales Associates
Ensures Associates are trained on product knowledge, selling skills, customer service and operations
Creates enthusiasm and excitement within store to motivate high performance teams
Operations Excellence
Protects store payroll by adhering to wage cost guidelines and allowable hours
Control company assets and promote shrink awareness through key control, loss prevention measures, inventory results and company standards of conduct
Strives for 100% paperwork accuracy and compliance in: cash, inventory, fixtures and property
Store Standards
Helps execute floor-set and promotional directives
Works as a member of the team to insure all store standards are met
Understands, supports and complies with all company policies and procedures
## Qualifications
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Two years retail experience
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent
