Under Supervision of the Risk Manager, perform a wide variety of technical/professional duties related to the Risk Management Program, Patient Safety program, Privacy program and SCHHS Self Insured Trust. Has knowledge of healthcare lines of insurance coverage with specific focus on malpractice. Possess working knowledge of standardized claims file preparation and maintenance of the hospital''s claims management and patient safety event reporting systems. Maintaining and evaluating data through processing, analyzing, trending and tracking data. High level capacity to collaborate and interact with members of the healthcare team including nurses, physicians, administrators and the network providers. Performs and provides admin support services such as preparing correspondance, reports in final form, scheduling meetings, maintaining files and conducting special projects as asigned. Bachelor's Degree, minimum five - seven years work experience, preferably in healthcare, legal and/or insurance settings. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in various programs including Windows, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook; experience with Patient Safety Event Reporting System, ECRI PSO System preferred but not requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
